For many years Mode de Vie emile's soap used Shea butter in unequalled levels of concentration in formulas. The manufacture based in Provence used cauldrons and vegetable oils (Palm, Coprah, Olive .) which under the action of heat and soda, are dissociated into fatty acids and glycerin.
Glycerin water are decanted before cooking itself. The paste obtained, firmer is washed with salt water, it is the "relarguage" allowing the neutralization of the paste.
Two successives washing with clear water are necessary to eliminate the surplus of salt.
the following operation is the "liquidation", water is added to the soap to make is it pecfectly fluid.
At this point, the soap Master controls the perfect neutrality of the paste.
After decantation and malaxation (homogenization), the paste is poured into " setting place" where it hardens.
Then, there's only to cut out, dry and stamp the pieces of soaps.

The cosmetic and biological benefits of Shea butter have been known for many years, however formulating Shea butter into new and innovative products can be a challenge, especially with Shea butter high concentration.
The unique combination of solid and liquid triglycerides gives Shea butter its desirable skin feel, however maintaining a stable physical balance in a formulation can be difficult with standard solid Shea butter . Once melted, standard Shea butter can take up to 4 days to establish stability in the solid form. This can cause “graininess and undesirable textures in formulations..
I found to use liquid Shea butter to naturally seek the most stable physical balance. As a result , liquid Shea butter responds favorably to a wide range of formulation and processing conditions –even in high concentrations (>25%) And liquid Shea butter retains the same natural concentration of triterpenes and cinnamate esters for continued high quality skin care performances …

The Peanut , Arachis hypogea , is strictly speaking a vegetable , same as bean or pea. The plant are grown as an annual crop and look like a rather robust clover plant. The nuts originate from the stems, but are pushed into the ground by the plant at an early stage, and its underground that they mature. Although a legume seed, peanuts are firmly embedded in our mind as nuts.
The species originates from semi arid areas of Brazil. It was domesticated by the ancestors of the present Arawak Indian people at least 5 00 years ago, and probably much longer than that .It was spread to Asia by the Spanish, and to Africa and then India by the Portuguese. It was introduce to the USA from Africa.
In 1903, George Washington Carver began his peanut research at Tuskegee. Dr carver developed more than 300 uses for peanuts and improved peanut horticulture tremendously.
